100 Million seconds
According to the Arduino that is counting the numbers of seconds since I retired1, so it's probably time to record a few thoughts:
- As with most people I'm glad to have retired - the freedom from time pressure (in the main) is very liberating.
- The freedom to decide what I'm doing with a day is precious to me too - even if sometimes I end up annoyed that I didn't exactly make dramatic achievements for the day!
- I do need to set myself some longer term objectives though.
I have managed one thing though - I always intended to do a lot of exploring by rail, and I have (and am) managing to do that.
Footnotes
- To be fair it regularly checks in with an NTP time server since the clock on the Arduino isn't designed to be extremely accurate - mine drifts a few seconds in the hour ↩
