Converting traveller maps to globes

To get a globe of a traveller world do the following steps:

1. Goto the world on the Traveller Map.
2. Open up and expand the menu for the world and click on the link to Generate World Map
3. At The Traveller Worlds website, choose a world and select: Map action >> Download Cropped PNG Format from the drop-down menu at the top of the page.

4. Goto to the Icohex to Plate-Carrée Converter, click Browse and select the downloaded cropped file. Let the conversion run and then save the resulting image
5. Now goto that site's main page and again use Browse to load the image from the previous step. Use the options at the top and the mouse to control the image and viewpoint. Once happy use Alt-PrtSc to capture the globe and then paste into GIMP.
